11th Annual
2023 Day of the Dead
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2023
Venue 6SIX9 (669 South West Temple)
We are looking forward to celebrating another Day of the Dead with friends and families of The Sharing Place this fall. This is our biggest event of the year and we hope you will join us! Although we celebrate this traditional Mexican holiday named the Day of the Dead, we like to think of it more as a Celebration of Life & Remembrance.
As this is our only fundraiser of the year, we hold an auction of a variety of donated gifts. These can range from love baskets full of treats, to hand-crafted art, to a vacation! You’ll love looking at all of the generous contributions, some even memorializing a special person. Stay tuned for more details about this.
If you would like to donate a gift to our auction, please contact us today!
All funds from sponsorships, ticket sales, and activities will benefit grief groups at the Sharing Place. Last year these groups helped over 500 children who experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or other significant family member develop coping skills through art, discussion, and play. This year’s event is especially important due to the significant need for mental health services, as we deal with a global health crisis.
If you would like to be notified of events like these, please join our newsletter for these announcements.

This is not your average fundraising gala! Guests have the opportunity to get their faces painted by a professional, visit psychic readers, honor a loved one at our memorial altar, and enjoy a delicious Mexican food dinner, provided by Rockwell Catering and Events. This unique event is a celebration of life and remembrance of deceased loved ones as much as a fundraiser. And the best part is that all funds from sponsorships, ticket sales, and activities will benefit grief groups at all TSP locations (Millcreek, Taylorsville & Pleasant Grove).
Last year’s Gala raised over $180,000. In turn, TSP helped over 500 children across the state of Utah process grief surrounding the death of a family member through art, discussion, and play.
Established in 1993, our program was one of the first of its kind in the US and has served thousands of children since.
Your company’s involvement would be integral to raising necessary funding for these programs. You will enable us to maintain our commitment to ensure “No Child Grieves Alone”.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to help grieving children and their families.
